Polestar O2 Concept

Polestar O2 Concept: First Look Unrevealed

Like all the automakers out there expanding their electrified lineups, Polestar, the Volvo-adjacent electric brand, seems to match the race aggressively by expanding their electrified lineups. It all started with Polestar 1 and Polestar 2. They have two SUVs in the line up the 3 and 5. The car taking the name badge five will be a flagship four-door GT. The Polestar envisions getting discrete touches to keep it nothing like its parents, Volvo and Geely Holdings. It is why Polestar has come up with a full-on EV roadster O2 Concept. O/2 comes in stunning design styles with high adaptability to the discrete body styles. It has shared its aluminum platform with the Polestar Precept concept, which s all set to be the production Polestar 5 flagship. O2 owes its dynamic appeals to short front and rear overhangs. Further, it makes a long-lasting impression. It has a low stance and sharp roofline. This car seems to have a longer wheelbase to equip this Electric Polestar with a larger battery pack and the 2+2 design. It would carry four people with its front and rear seats. O2 will be the first convertible Polestar. The details of the rood are yet to come. But one this is for sure this car would enhance the open rood experience ith quite an electric powertrain. The proportions and profile stance showcase its sportiness, making Polestar O2 Concept stand out. It has the absence of wild character lines. Subtle lines extend from the front to the rear. It has a widening hip that wraps around the 22-inch wheels in the rear. Angular headlights and taillights create the character generated by the sharp lines in its absence. The jockey-stick headlights are mirrored by the daylight, whereas the taillight connects both corners with a slim LED strip. With it, the car looks all modern and futuristic for sure. The bard is still testing the market’s reaction to the concept before making any final decision regarding the production. The car comprises an aerofoil behind the rear seats, which the engineers of the Polestar develop. It houses a small drone too. The drone is allowed to take off when the car is on the move. The drone slides out of the platform from the straight line opening on the rear. The area tends to create negative pressure for the drone, which is essential for a smooth take-off.

As per the Polestar, there is no requirement of operating the drone by a human. It is made to follow the O2 at up to 56 mph. It would record the video clips that be both edited as well as shared from the 15-inch touchscreen on the dashboard after the car is parked. As per Maximilian Missoni, head of Polestar design, it is what Polestar aims to utilize in future production models. It comes as the brand is consistently exploring and experimenting with the use of technology in its future models. The shifter is placed on the steering column. It has a rotary knob on the center console with no other buttons to control the infotainment or cabin temperature. The instrument cluster is served on the smaller screen that sits atop the dashboard in front of the driver. Polestar is all serous of sustainability has the use of recycled polyester is a clear example of it. It is used at the base of some material that is inside, such as foam, adhesive, 3D knit fibers, and non-woven lamination. It reduces not only weight but also wastes. Even after the car’s life is done, this electric brand is making that car more recyclable by clearly labeling the different grades of aluminum used in the cabin, so it retains its properties effectively. Though if this Polestar O2 Concept does not make it to the production line. The design will surely make it to the production somehow, even if in the future. We are sure to see such an EV roadster on the roads soon.
