First Look of Jeep’s First Electric Crossover SUV Revealed

The first half of 2023 is gonna get more exciting for all the auto enthusiasts; this pure electric Jeep is all set to run on roads. It’s Jeep’s first electric Jeep that is electric! In an overview of the automaker’s direction through 2030, Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares revealed it in Amsterdam revealed it. It’s not a Jeep Wrangler to start with; it is a small lifestyle jeep that is smaller than a crossover. This all-electric Jeep is the new addition to the lineup and yet to have a name. This smaller SUV looks cute and seem to be tailored specifically to meet the need of an ideal urban customer. It is expected to set a wide global appeal owing to it being a small SUV. This Jeep EV is built on the STLA Small platform. This platform is among the four dedicated electrified architectures; this is all set to underpin all nameplates of the 14 brands that are under the Stellantis. Stellantis is an all-new automotive manufacturing company that is just more than a year old. It was created by the merger of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and PSA Group, Chrysler, Alfa Romeo, Ram, Dodge, lumping Jeep, Fiat, and Maserati together with the French auto conglomerate’s offerings.

As for future aspects of Stellantis, by 2030, 100% of all the vehicles its manufactures and sell in Europe while 50% of the lineup which will make it to North America will be all-electric. Though the automaker is adopting electrification, Jeep seems to be on a highly accelerated pace when it comes to embracing the electrification as per Carlos Tavares. He talked to the reporters gathered in Amsterdam to learn more about the Dare Forward 2030, about the long-term strategic plan to launch 100 new vehicles out of which 75 will be electric, which also include an electric Ram 1500 full-size electric pickup truck in 2024. “Jeep’s 4xe plug-in hybrid technology is gaining recognition and sales, making it the second of the 14 Stellantis brands in terms of electrification”, Tavares said The strategic vision also includes investing in all the American brands, and the U.S. will have 25 electric vehicles by 2030 on sale.
