BMW
said as early as 2017 that it expects sales of hybrid and electric vehicles to account for 15 to 25 percent of its global sales by 2025.

GM
announced
it will invest $27 billion in EVs through 2025. The company plans to have 30 EVs on the market, 20 of which will be available in North America.

vows

plans to launch 60 new hybrid, electric, or fuel-cell vehicles by the end of the year and expects to have reached its goal of selling 5.5 million electrified offerings each year.

Volvo
has pledged to put 1 million hybrid or electric vehicles on the road by the end of the year, and expects 50 percent of its global sales to come from EVs. Many automakers have detailed plans to electrify large portions of their fleets over the next decade, with some announcing goals for fully electrified lineups in as little as five years. Consumers might not even have to wait that long. A record number of almost 100 pure battery electric vehicles (BEVs) are set to debut by the end of 2024 if all goes according to plan. It depends on the market.
