2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 – You must Have Dreamed of It
2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 review
On the surface, the 2018 Maruti Suzuki XL6 appears to have just minor changes. Things that could have been communicated through a news release. The light clusters have been adjusted, and extra chrome, body cladding, and larger wheels have been added, but the XL6 has a lot more going on than meets the eye. The six-speed torque converter automatic box, which replaces the original four-speed gearbox, is the most significant new feature.
XL6 gearbox
At highway speeds, the 2017 Maruti Suzuki XL6 is no different. The people mover is smooth, quiet, and comfy. When driving without a sense of urgency, the new automatic gearbox performs admirably in the background. Things start to alter as you step on the gas pedal. Although there are just 102 XL6 horsepower and 137Nm of torque to play with, the new 6-speed transmission seems more efficient than before. Because there is still a gap between the anticipation of a gear shift and the actual shift, you must time your overtakes carefully. The XL6 picks up speed once a lower gear is selected, the 1.5-liter petrol engine makes some noise, and you may pass.
Is it a Multi-purpose Sport Utility Vehicle (MPSUV)?
The XL6 crossover SUV looks like an MPV. While Maruti Suzuki is the market leader in the MPV sector, the XL6 is designed to fill a vacuum in Maruti’s lineup left by the Hyundai Alcazar and Tata Safari. This will be the case until the manufacturer releases a 5-seat Creta competitor, followed by a 7-seat version. For the time being, little modifications to make the XL6 look more macho appear to have worked. All variations feature larger 16-inch alloy wheels, extra side and front plastic body cladding with contrast paint for a more purposeful attitude, and even roof rails to give it a higher profile. The bigger wheels are currently working to fill in the wheel wells. A roof spoiler is included on the top-spec Alpha Plus model.
XL6 engine
The new K-Series 1.5-liter Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine with Progressive Smart XL6 Hybrid technology is standard on the 2017 Maruti Suzuki XL6. This engine generates 102 horsepower and 137 Newton-meters of torque, and customers have the option of purchasing it with either a five-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. This new powertrain has an ARAI mileage rating of 20.51 kilometers per liter when paired with a manual transmission and 20.3 kilometers per liter when paired with an automated gearbox.
XL6 Verdict and price
The new XL6 may be purchased for a starting price of 11.29 rupees and can reach a maximum price of 14.39 lakhs for the most expensive model. The introduction of the Carens into the MPV market by Kia resulted in the company updating both the XL6 and the Ertiga. There is no doubt that Maruti Suzuki has raised its game with the introduction of new features and upgraded technology in the New XL6. The 2022 Maruti Suzuki still has that brand value and practicality quotient, which will work in its favor and keep this brand alive in the competition between premium budget MPVs. With the exception of a couple of things according to the research and reports, it is believed that it still needs to be improved, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki still has these qualities.
How the car is updated from outside
The highest-end trim level of the Maruti Suzuki XL6 is now available with two-tone paint jobs to choose from. Although we weren’t able to try them out during our test drives, the photographs in the brochure give the impression that the silver XL6 with a black roof will look the best out of all of the available options.
Since the new XL6 now comes equipped with a 360-degree camera, you will also find cameras in the side mirrors and the front grille of the vehicle. The view from the back parking camera, which encompasses 360 degrees, is really helpful. If you break one, you’ll have to pay more to replace it because it has a camera built right in. The most visible new feature on the front of the XL6 is without a doubt the front camera, which has been discreetly concealed within the enormous chrome grille.
Is there a greater emphasis placed on security?
In addition to the normal inclusion of ESP and Hill Hold on all models, the XL6 now comes standard with four airbags. The highest-end model also comes with a tire pressure monitoring device as standard equipment.
Frequently asked question
Is the XL6 getting a makeover?
The 2022 XL6 receives a redesigned radiator grille with a horizontally running chrome accent that blends in with the LED headlights. Chrome garnishing has been added to the grille, giving it a more expensive appearance.
Is the XL6 a 7-seater?
The Maruti Suzuki XL6 is a six-seater MUV that costs between 11.29 and 14.55 lakh rupees. It comes in eight different configurations, with a 1462 cc engine and two gearbox options: manual and automatic (TC). The XL6’s other notable features include a Boot space of 209 liters.
Can XL6 climb hills?
The stretch of road in front of you has a precipitous incline, and there is no vehicle that has sufficient traction to ascend that grade. Neither can the XL6, despite the fact that its fresh new Ecopia 150 tires appear to have a little improved traction on the road.
XL6 or Ertiga: which is better?
With pricing ranging from Rs 11.2 lakh to Rs 14.55 lakh, the XL6 is more expensive than the Ertiga. Because there is a bigger variation line-up, the Ertiga is substantially less expensive, with costs ranging from Rs 8.3 lakh to Rs 10.99 lakh. The XL6 is undoubtedly a more expensive alternative, whilst the Ertiga appears to provide better value for money.
